Classes for Pre-K and Kindergarten focus on pre-ballet and tap. In class we focus on basic movements and foot positions, traveling steps — gallops, skips, hops, ballet walks and runs — to develop coordination — and basic tap steps — toes, heels, shuffles, marches and more. The music is kid-friendly, upbeat and fun!
Once students are in 1st and 2nd grade, they can add jazz. Around ages 8-9 they can also take junior ballroom dance which includes American Smooth — Foxtrot, Waltz and Tango, and American Rhythm — Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa/Mambo, Merengue, East and West Coast Swing, Hustle and Samba.
Students aged 8+ interested in being part of a performance team should take jazz, tap and ballroom.
We perform for community and special events.
